Tom Potter

Tom co-founded the Brooklyn Brewery in 1987, serving as CEO and Chairman of the Board. He is the co-author of “Beer School: Bottling Success at the Brooklyn Brewery” and a past Executive Director of the American Institute of Wine & Food. Tom helped found and currently serves on the Board of Directors of both the NY State Distillers Guild and the American Craft Spirits Association.

Allen Katz

Allen is one of the nation’s leading experts on distilled spirits and cocktails. He is the Director of the Spirits Education & Mixology for Southern Wine & Spirits of New York and is at the forefront of industry training in New York and around the country. He is renowned for his public and professional seminars on topics of America’s food and cocktail heritage and was previously the host of The
Cocktail Hour for Martha Stewart on SiriusXM. 

Bill Potter

Bill worked in the fine dining service industry for ten years before taking over the helm as Chief Blender and Distiller for NYDC. He is a member of the American Sommelier Association, and gained his Spirits Specialist certification (CSS) from the Society of Wine Educators. Bill has also been a AASI level II certified snowboard instructor at Vail, Colorado.

Hannah TOALE

Hannah started working with New York Distilling Company in 2015 as a barback for the Shanty. Soon after, she began working in production and is now Distiller and Production Manager. Hannah has worked at Friends of the High Line, Different Roads to Learning, and Partner's Coffee. She studied Physics at Smith College and was born and raised in New York City.

ADAM CASTELSKY

Adam joined NYDC in 2022 bringing 15 years of Alcoholic Beverage sales experience. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Adam moved to Charlotte, NC to earn a Hospitality Degree at Johnson & Wales University. On a whim, he decided to move to NYC in 2013 and hasn’t looked back. Previously, he worked for Blueprint Brands, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Casa Dragones Tequila.

Morgan WHITRIDGE

Morgan began working for NYDC in 2019 to help the company navigate and grow its digital footprint on a multitude of channels. Before joining NYDC, he worked at BDB, an influencer and paid media marketing agency. Morgan attended Tulane University in New Orleans studying Business Management and Legal Studies. Before college, he cemented his love for food and beverage by going to culinary school.
